ADJUNCT ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / ADJUNCT LECTURER

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To teach “Chinese I 汉语(一)” (3 hours/week) and “Language and Communication 语言与沟通(阅读与写作)” (4 hours/week)
  • Develop lesson plans
  • Evaluate students’ performance based on assignment, tests and examinations
  • Set and mark assignments, tests, and examination scripts (including re-sit papers if necessary)
  • Assist students with relevant queries during consultant hours where necessary (2 hours/week)

Job Specifications

  • PhD / Master degree in related discipline
  • Min. 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in teaching Chinese Language writing skills and teaching Chinese to English-speaking students

VOLUNTEER EXECUTIVE

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing effective and responsive volunteer management services
  • Assist in developing, promoting and delivering volunteer related training programs as well as development opportunities
  • Collaborate with HODs to monitor and manage volunteer issues and enquiries
  • Collaborate with HODs to plan and coordinate volunteer affairs initiatives
  • Assist in coordinating and managing external/internal events

Job Specifications

  • Min Diploma in any discipline, preferably with 2 years of relevant experiences in volunteer management
  • Excellent facilitating, communication, problem-solving and influencing skills

Programme Executive

The programme executive role includes managing information and referrals, planning, designing and implementing programmes that meet the needs of clients, providing administrative support for the clinical team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop , implement, co-ordinate and evaluate new programme initiatives that meet the needs of community
  • Manage community information and referrals
  • Handle walk-in, incoming calls and email enquiries about programmes and services
  • Network and partner with relevant stakeholders and organisations
  • Plan, develop, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate the guided tour programme for the Monastery and manage the volunteer guides
  • Provide general administrative support for team
  • Manage and provide support to volunteer and intern counsellors

Job Specifications

  • Possess a Diploma in social work/psychology or counselling with keen interest in community work. Fresh graduates are welcomed.
  • Meticulous with strong planning and co-ordination skills in projects/programmes
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and spoken) in English and Mandarin (to liaise with clients of all demographics) is pre-requisite

Programme Officer

This position serves the administration of the Dharma School to ensure smooth operation as part of the Dharma Propagation in the Monastery. You will be involve in the overall operation, planning, implementing, coordinating and carry out of Dharma School existing and new programmes and projects, especially in areas of general administration, student administration and supervision, curriculum preparation support, logistic and administrative support and volunteer teacher training support.

  • Assist in overseeing Dharma School to ensure smooth operation
  • Managing students’ enrolment and documentations
  • Responsible for liaison with parents and students
  • Assist in volunteer teacher’s training programme and contribution hour

Customer Service Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process daily receipts  transaction for storage of Urns, Ancestral Tablets, Prayers Services, Donations, etc
  • Registration of Monastery Events – New Year, Lunar New Year, Qing Ming, Vesak, Ullambana, Medicine Buddha, Shui-Lu, etc
  • Liaise with Casket/Undertaker Companies for registration of Beneficiary – Death Certificate
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and attending to walk-in customer enquiries, problems and feedback
  • Processing of labels / Stickers for Urns Storage / Ji-Ling
  • Collection of photos for Niches / Ancestral Tablets
  • To cover/support inter-department duties when required
  • Other general / ad-hoc duties / projects assigned to Front Office

Job Specifications

  • Minimum ‘O’ level with at least 1 year front line working experience
  • Good communications skills (both written and spoken) in English and Mandarin (to liaise with mandarin speaking associates) is pre-requisite

PRIVACY OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing the Monastery’s personal data inventory, data management framework and processes and to align them with the PDPA
  • Responsible for developing and implementing data protection policies and processes and conduct regular review to ensure compliance of PDPA
  • Foster a data protection culture among employees and communicate personal data protection policies to stakeholders
  • Manage personal data protection related queries and complaints/li>
  • Develop and implement data breach management and response plan to manage data breaches
  • Assess and alert management of any risks of a data breach or other breaches of the PDPA
  • Liaise with the PDPC on data protection matters, if necessar

 

Job Specifications

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

SUPERVISOR (M&E)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinating with Technicians for maintenance, repair and minor installation of M&E services
  • Supervise and liaise with contractors for any maintenance repairs and renovation works to ensure quality service standards
  • Carry out daily inspection on building and M&E systems
  • To conduct regular functionality checks of all equipment

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, PURCHASING

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Request for quotations, compile and discuss with Senior Procurement Executive
  • Arrange appointments for users and vendors to meet and discuss
  • Manage and follow up on correspondences/emails to users and vendors
  • Managing filing within the system
  • Follow up with vendor on work in progress and report to SPE on the status accordingly
  • Monitoring of contractor performance and feedback/discuss with SPE
  • Following up on completion duties, approvals, invoices and submission of documents to Finance, scanning and filing

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT CUM CARPENTER

To handle the carpentry work in the Monastery, installations, corrective and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To understudy the current carpentry contractor with regards to all carpentry work and procedures for monastery events
  • To maintain and update maintenance records & documentations
  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and cleaning, conduct checks on installations, trouble shooting, preventive and corrective wooden furniture maintenance works
  • Support event in the Monastery, e.g. setting up of praying fixtures
  • Perform minor adjustment on room furniture, fixtures and other items at our properties
  • Handles rectification and maintenance works
  • Cover duties

 
Job Specifications

  • Minimum 5 years carpentry experience
  • Professional certification in carpentry will be an advantage
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 kg without assistance
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates
  • Able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, push, pull and twist as required during majority of the day
  • Must be able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours
DRIVER

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide driver support services to the Monastery
  • Manage & monitor the Monastery vehicles under his care (including maintenance and cleaning)
  • To cover/support colleagues’ duties when required

  • Min GCE ‘N’ Level
  • Min 5 years driver experience
  • Possess valid Class 3 driving license with excellent driving track record; reliable and safety conscious, good coordination and communication skills
